WCAG 2.1 Level AA1. Our Commitment
Creatov is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that the web should be an inclusive space, and we strive to provide an experience that is usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
We actively work to meet or exceed the requirements of the following standards and regulations:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA - Published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - Title III, which applies to places of public accommodation including websites
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act - For accessibility of electronic and information technology
- European Accessibility Act (EAA) - For EU visitors accessing our digital services
- Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 - Including the Israeli Standard SI 5568 for web accessibility
2. Standards We Follow
Our website is designed and developed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This means we adhere to the four core principles of web accessibility:
2.1 Perceivable
Information and user interface components are presented in ways that all users can perceive:
- All images include meaningful alternative text descriptions (alt attributes)
- Video and multimedia content includes captions and/or transcripts where applicable
- Content is structured with proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6)
- Color is not used as the sole means of conveying information
- Text has a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background (7:1 for large text where possible)
- Content can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
2.2 Operable
User interface components and navigation are operable by all users:
- All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Escape, Arrow keys)
- Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements
- Skip-to-content links allow keyboard users to bypass navigation
- No content flashes more than three times per second
- Users are given sufficient time to read and interact with content
- Pages have descriptive titles and links have meaningful text
2.3 Understandable
Information and operation of the user interface are understandable:
- The language of the page is identified in the HTML (lang attribute)
- Navigation is consistent across pages
- Form inputs include clear labels and helpful error messages
- Error identification is specific and provides suggestions for correction
- Content is written in clear, plain language
2.4 Robust
Content is robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of assistive technologies:
- Pages use valid, well-structured HTML
- ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) landmarks and roles are used appropriately
- Custom components are built to be compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies
- The site is tested with multiple browsers and assistive technology combinations
3. Measures Taken
Creatov takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Accessibility is integrated into our design and development process from the start
- We conduct regular accessibility audits using both automated tools and manual testing
- We test with assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS), keyboard-only navigation, and screen magnification
- We use automated accessibility testing tools (Lighthouse, axe, WAVE) during development
- We review and update our accessibility practices in response to new WCAG versions and legal requirements
- Team members receive training on accessibility best practices
- We welcome and act on feedback from users with disabilities
4. Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, we acknowledge the following current limitations:
- Third-party content: Some embedded third-party content (e.g., analytics scripts, social media widgets, or external forms) may not fully meet accessibility standards. We work with vendors to improve accessibility and provide alternative access methods where possible.
- PDF documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate existing documents and ensure all new PDFs meet accessibility standards. Contact us for accessible alternatives.
- Legacy content: Some historical content may not yet be fully updated to meet current standards. We are progressively remediating this content.
- Complex interactive elements: Some advanced interactive features may have limited accessibility with certain assistive technology combinations. We test and improve these continuously.
We are actively working to address these limitations. If you encounter any barriers, please let us know.
5. Compatible Assistive Technologies
Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), JAWS (Windows), TalkBack (Android)
